Chapel at the harbour

Opened in the spring of 2004, the Chapel at the harbour is probably Europe's only floating church.

In this atmospheric chapel everyone is welcome to pause for a quiet moment and light a candle.
There is also a memorial room with a plaque commemorating the Norwegian whalers who were buried on South Georgia.

The Chapel at the harbour may be rented out for appropriate events.
Weddings can also be held at the Chapel (max 30 persons)

Opening hours:
24/6-Medio August 2009:
Every night 19.00-23.00 (eveningservice every night except Thursday at 21.30.)
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12.00-15.00.

During the summerseason the Chapel is open every evening and some random afternoons.
The rest of the year, the Chapel is open one day a month.
